William

Will.i.am

Hearing that the kapahaka and hiphop groups were performing for someone very special I was feeling nervous.Thinking to myself "Who could it be out of anyone in the whole wide world".So then the special half an hour assembly came and Mr. Burt told us that it was someone from the “Black-eyed-peas”. So I was guessing that i was going to be “Furgie” but everyone else was thinking it was going to be Will.i.am.

Mr. Burt then showed us the picture and guess who it was
WILL.I.AM. It was a long wait for him to get to school but finally he came. Just after that the kapa haka and hip hop had finished he got up and talked.

He started with his family. His family was very poor and didn't get much income. No one had a job and he his brothers and sisters were raised with no dad.He told us that most people in his neighbourhood would goo to jail. But his music saved his life.

As he grew up his dream job was to be able to look after his mother. All his other friends had the same dream and that was to look after their family and mothers too. Thats how he managed to look after his mother through his music. He also had a dream for a job and it was to do science maths engineering and technology.

Will.i.am also gave a very inspirational talk to the year eight.

He had started a foundation that was called "I Am Angle".

here is the link for things bout the talk.......
